Passion for The Power Of The Wish

I believe in fairies, I do, I do, I do! This was the message that the crowd was left with to think about after the motivational speech given by Peter Economides, Brand Strategist and Board member of Make-A-Wish International and Make-A-Wish Greece at the Power of the Wish charity event held last night at Island. Peter Economides spoke about the meaning of changing one’s perspective to think in a positive way and to say GINETAI (It can happen) rather than DEN GINETAI (It cannot happen). His message was clear that everyone must learn to believe. It was a beautiful message of hope and courage, highlighting the fact that the power of the wish is what gives these children the strength and determination to fight for their lives and to believe in miracles. THE POWER OF THE WISH!

A truly remarkable moment was the speech given by a former wish child Stelios who spoke about his wish of becoming an Astronaut and how Make-A-Wish Greece realized his dream. Stelios is currently a second year student at the University studying to become a doctor.  

Make-A-Wish also welcomed Vicky Kaya as their new Ambassador for the organization. Vicky Kaya spoke about her involvement with the organisation and her experience as a wish granter for the wish of Diana whose dream is to become a model.
