Passion for LIVE YOUR PASSION SERIES - Île Saint-Honorat
As promised I have created a
separate video of my visit to the Île Saint-Honorat which is the second
largest of the Lérins Islands and is a 20 minute boat ride from the shore of Cannes . This place is definitely worth
visiting especially on a great sunny day. The island retains a monastery, which
is home to 30 Cistercian monks. We spend a couple of hours there exploring the
island and of course tasted the wine which is produced by the monks. My next
stop is St. Tropez, thank you for following my travels. Until next time. xoxo

Passion for Côte d’Azur - Dinner at Pastis Cannes
Second night in Cannes, we decided
to try something different so we asked the concierge at the Martinez to
recommend something close by in a walking distance from the hotel. The choice
for the night was Pastis which serves Mediterranean cuisine. The place is
decorated in a simple style but has a very friendly atmosphere, we were served
by a guy called Giorgio who was very helpful. I decided to try the foie gras which
was delicious, we also had carpaccio and cherry tomato with artichokes salad as
a starter. For the main course Giorgio suggested their specialty which is
chicken cooked with truffle sauce, delicious! Until next time. xoxo ES

This time taking you on a walk down the Promenade de la Croisette in Cannes . I had taken some
videos of the Hotel Martinez where I was staying, however I used my iPad and unfortunately
the videos didn’t come out as I expected. Well as they say there is always room
for improvement, so we keep on trying. Until next time. xoxo ES

Passion for Côte d’Azur - Cannes Day 2
Bonjour! It’s me here again. I
promised to bring more sunshine so here it is. Waking up on my second day in Cannes to sunshine was
exactly what we wanted for the day ahead. In the morning we walked the famous Promenade de la Croisette, that’s where our Hotel Martinez was located. Here
you will find all the glitz and glam, and of course all the boutiques lined up.
This is the famous Boulevard where the Palais des Festivals is located and
where every year the Cannes Film Festival takes place. The red carpet on that
day was closed off as they were doing maintenance works before the next event,
so the friendly guard said I’m sorry mademoiselle but no pictures today. Imagine
my face, when having travelled all this way and not to get a shot on the famous
red carpet. So when the door closed, I found a window and here I am standing on
the red carpet. Voila!

Passion for Côte d’Azur - Monte Carlo/Cannes Day 3
Are you ready to explore the rest of
the destinations? Listen to this. The day we were leaving Monte
Carlo and heading towards Cannes ,
it was supposed to be a very memorable day with a surprise that I was planning
for my mother’s birthday a month in advance before the trip. The greatest
surprise of all turned out to be my greatest disaster as the company that I had
arranged to bring a white Lincoln
limo outside the hotel at 14:00 pm never showed up. They seemed very
professional throughout their communication, with a great website, three
languages and all their social media in place. They promised a surprise that
would leave my mother very happy. Instead they delivered disaster and I have
not received my refund, nor are they replying to their phones or emails. This
company is the Riviera Luxury Limousines and my friends if anyone ever requires
such services you must think twice before trusting your special occasion up to
them. Usually I write positive things in my reviews, but I felt like I had to
protect anyone else from experiencing such disappointments.

Passion for Côte d’Azur - Monte Carlo: Day 2
Day 2 in Monte Carlo started off with beautiful
sunshine and a walk through the Jardin Japonaise! Breakfast at the Café de Paris
and good morning world! Here, people and car watching just outside the Casino
is spectacular. I guess that here more than a thousand pictures are taken daily
as tourists line up to get a shot of the most fancy four wheels out in the
market. The moment you reach this place you feel that life is here and it offers
you only the crème de la crème. To get a glimpse of more luxury, check out my
video series here.
