Day 2 in Monte Carlo started off with beautiful
sunshine and a walk through the Jardin Japonaise! Breakfast at the Café de Paris
and good morning world! Here, people and car watching just outside the Casino
is spectacular. I guess that here more than a thousand pictures are taken daily
as tourists line up to get a shot of the most fancy four wheels out in the
market. The moment you reach this place you feel that life is here and it offers
you only the crème de la crème. To get a glimpse of more luxury, check out my
video series here.
For lunch we crossed the marina and
headed up towards the Palais Princier de Monaco. Here you can get the view
of Monte Carlo
from the other side. I had read about this restaurant called “ U Cavagnetu” which was recommended on
trip advisor, so I decided to give it a try, lucky for me I ended up on the
grounds of the Palace. As for the restaurant what I have realized is that the
tips on Tripadvisor are mostly for tourists looking for more economical dining
options thus not necessarily the authentic local places. I will be sharing more
on this in my Passion for Hospitality blog.
I had also booked tickets for the
Royal Ballet of Cambodia performance which took place at the Salle des Etoiles,
a concert Hall at the Sporting Monte Carlo. Guess who was at the same performance?!
Prince Albert
with Princess Charlene. I had shared some of the images on my instagram. In the
evening we headed to the famous Casino followed by a visit to the Jimmy’z Night
Club. Until next time, I have more stories to be told. xoxo ES
