Ciao
darlings! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but for those who follow me on
Instagram have gotten a glimpse of my trip to Italy
where my first stop was Rome , followed by Florence , Siena
and San Gimignano. Upon my return to Athens ,
I enjoyed a few more days of holiday with my other half at the Astir Palace
Resort. Unfortunately all good things come to an end paving a way for new,
unknown paths that are still waiting to be discovered. Now heading back to the
subject of my Italian travel diary: for the first time in my life I decided to
travel light and I loved it! The result of a carefully coordinated wardrobe,
with no extras meant that for once in my life I did not have to drag around a
huge suitcase, and it worked out perfectly fine.
I
have been to Rome in the past, so this time was a sort of an in and out
situation, just to refresh my memory, soak in the beauty of the Fontana Di Trevi,
flip a coin for good luck, try a few Roman gelatos (for those who followed my
gelato quest know what I am on about), by chance end up visiting the exhibition
of Frida Kahlo (unfortunately no pictures were allowed) which was a truly remarkable
experience since I have always been fond of her artistic skills, ending the
first night in a great prosciutteria known as the La Prosciutteria. This place
was first founded in Florence and has recently
opened in Rome ,
so if you are a fan of cozy little places where you can try all sorts of wine
and the famous Italian prosciutto, then you are definitely going to appreciate
this place. Stay tuned for more travels and tips. Until next time, enjoy! xoxo
