Passion for New York Day 1

Good morning New York City! My number one favourite city in the world, the place where I dreamed of celebrating my big 30, and so it happened! I arrived in NYC the night before my birthday where we checked in at the Waldorf Astoria which I will review separately later on. I must say this is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in so far, the hotel’s staff was amazing and the service was just impeccable. We had dinner at the Bull and Bear Steakhouse which is excellent!

Waking up on the day of my birthday first thing first was to get the tickets for the Metropolitan Opera House, to watch the Midsummer Night’s Dream on the following day. For brunch we headed down to the Meetpacking District to a place called Pastis which I have been recommended before and finally managed to experience it. It was packed but I definitely recommend this place (promise to share more in a separate blog post).

The rest of the day I spent shopping, down at the Century 21. I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes that I received from my friends from all over the world, it was very touching to read all the messages in the evening while enjoying a bottle of pink Moet!
