Passion for New York Day 2

This time around, literally I have walked half of New York if not more, but that is the beauty of this city, just enjoying every turn, its people and the atmosphere! Yes I am still very much in love with New York and I think I always will. Some relationships are meant to last a lifetime! First stop of the day, back to shopping as silly me got myself a pair of Alexander Wang killer heels, one size bigger which needed changing, probably all the dizziness from the day before and perhaps a little extra wine while celebrating my birthday. More shopping was necessary, because believe me New York is the place for a shopaholic to shine, so once that was ticked off the list for the day, the night was dedicated to the Metropolitan Opera House and more specifically to Benjamin Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, where the opera , like the play, is set in the “woods outside of Athens”. Benjamin Britten was bound to turn one of the world’s greatest poet-dramatist’s extrusion into the realm of fairy nocturnal fantasy. But Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream also offered him two worlds, human and fairy, real and unreal, mixed together until reality becomes unreality.
